Apple Pie vs. Blueberry Pie

Or, more appropriately, this could just be "Pie In General". You know how sometimes you just get a craving for a food, and you really need it? This is just one of those days - I am in desperate need of some kind of pie. Except, guess what? We don't have any pie. Ugh.

This is the sort of thing that annoys me - when you really want something and you can't get it. I'm not talking about getting everything you want, and I'm not implying that makes any sense - getting all your desires isn't as great as it sounds, I'm quite sure - but I mean that food is essential, and certain kinds of food are often more desireable than others.

I wouldn't be able to have cake right now, that really wouldn't do, because I have gotten it into my head to want pie. Not that it makes a difference, we don't have any cake either, and no brownies. Not even my favorite ice-cream flavor. So for now it seems I'm not going to be able to go on a sugar binge or anything like that, and I'll have to wait until we get some cooler weather [to preheat the oven] and some apples or blueberries [preferably blueberries] and I'll make myself a pie.

Speaking of which, I adore cooking...Seriously. Or, more, baking, because I believe that's the term for when you use the oven part of the stove vs. the range or stovetop - sorry, I don't know all the technical terms and that sort of thing. I just follow recipes. That's about it. However, I enjoy following recipes, and more often than not things turn out half-decent. Which I am very proud of. I also happen to love making pie - so it looks like I'm all set once we actually have the ingredients.

The problem with cooking and me is that I get bored half-way through long things, and go off to read or something, because I just want the finished product. Impatience. I don't like to bother with all the whole long process of actually getting the food ready - although I love batter. Cake batter, brownie batter, cookie dough...I don't really care that there's raw egg {and when I get salmanila that's going to come back to haunt me, I know} because it tastes so good!!!

Is this a problem?

What kind of pie do you like best? Like I said, I prefer blueberry.
