Don't you think it's rather ironic that the full moon is going to be the night after a longer-than-usual lunar eclipse? I have to say, I wish I lived in California or something because then I could have seen the eclipse perfectly from my house instead of missing it from where I am. Full moons? Slightly less exciting, happening every month...

Speaking of the full moon, do you realize just how many myths out there are associated with the full moon? --highlight text, HP 7 spoiler--> Poor Reumus Lupin would be changing into a werewolf right now if he hadn't been killed. *goes to cry some more about that* <---/spoiler--
I mean, they say people are more likely to be crazy/insane and all that jazz around the full moon - also something about ghosts being more active? I have no idea if any of this is actually true or not, but I would like to say that if things get a little crazy, or some heinous crime happens in your area...blame it on the moon.
It's also a good excuse if you go and be rowdy - "What was that for?" "No idea, but there's a full moon tonight..." You see how it works in your defense.
