So every week I'm going to pick a favorite singer or group of mine, give you their website, and tell you exactly why they are just that cool. And this week the featured artist is Gregory and the Hawk, known as GATH for short. Meredith, the singer, has guest artists such as friends and family come perform with her, and her voice is lovely.
GATH's style could be described as folk, but what I admire the most about Meredith is her ability to write songs that aren't cliche, aren't commercial. Her style is unique - seriously. It's mostly accoustic guitar and vocals, with a bit of extras thrown in, and it is amazing.
So go listen to her, wouldja? My favorite songs: "Boats & Birds" and "Isabelle".
