We've all experienced it at one point or another, whether it was for a story we were writing, an English assignment in school, or some other thing that I'm not thinking of right now. The point is, writers block is not a fun thing to deal with. I'm sure you'll agree.
So perhaps you'll sympathize when I point out that I am suffering a severe case.
I have this contest I really want to enter, and I have an idea for a story - it's mentioned in the previous post, I think. And I am just at the point where I can't come up with anything to write about. It's been like that ever since I cut this amazing metaphor between this girl, Agnes, and a worker-ant. It added nothing to the story and didn't even make that much sense in context, but I loved it. Losing it felt weird. And the story just hasn't felt the same ever since.
I know, I'm really weird...
And speaking of writers block, my novel, which you'll probably be hearing several rants on in the future, has come to a screeching halt, because the epidemic has seeped into just about everything I try to write. And it's not helping that I have contest deadlines coming up left and right, things I wanted to enter. Except it's not happening.
How depressing. I just haven't felt like writing ever since I cut that little metaphor. And it's weeeird because that can't be what's causing it, that'd be ridiculous! But it's not like I can put it back in, the story [to the point I'm stuck at] flows a lot better without it.
So that is my struggle for now, updates shall be given on when writing ideas return...
