Singer of the Week - KT Tunstall

Okees I should probably take this moment to let you know that KT is probably one of my favorite singers on the face of this PLANET. Her voice is completely unique. [Or, I know I've never heard someone sound like her.] Her songs? Are absolutely amazing. She does great music videos, she's so pretty.

My favorite song by her is "Suddenly I See", which you might recognize as the first song in the movie The Devil Wears Prada - a fantastic movie, by the way. I believe there are...three music videos for that one? I prefer the one that is not the larger-than-life version. It's so cool, it's circus themed, and she has the cooooolest outfit ever when she's riding her bike. I want it. Although it wouldn't look good with my hair.

Her first CD is "Eye to the Telescope" and her second is "Drastic Fantastic."

Admittedly I have not had the opportunity to listen to her latest songs but I can't wait to get the CD!! I recommend her music to...anyone, really. When she sings you can hear her Scottish accent on certain words, which is really nifty.

Busy Lives can Get in the Way...

Yeah. I feel kind of bad because I haven't written anything here in absolute ever. However. I do have to say that I will try my best to remember to post...seriously, now that I'm swamped in a pile of homework I hardly have time for anything.

And yet I manage. And will continue to do just that!

One thing that bugs me is when I have something to write and then suddenly, mysteriously, when I go to type, the words just...don't come out. Like now. I had some brilliant opinion on why teens should go to bed at 3 in the morning instead of 9 or 10 at night [I'm so completely a night owl] but all I can think of right now is that I work better later.

And now I am stuck without my arguement and without a real entry for the blog. Snap. Not the best thing in the world. So now I go off to select a new singer-of-the-week...

Singer of the Week - A Fine Frenzy

If you haven't heard the amazing Alison Sudol sing songs that she wrote herself, you're sorely missing something. She calls herself "A Fine Frenzy" and she is truly fantastic. Apparently, she taught herself to play the piano, and she's actually quite good at it.

Some of her most noteable songs [to me] are "Almost Lover" and "You Picked Me". Her first CD, One Cell In The Sea, was released I'm not sure when, but I have a copy of it, and it's enjoyable to listen to.

Alison's music video for "Almost Lover" is also very good, you can watch it on her website, with a link to her youtube channel. I highty recommend you check out her music, because it is just that good. I think you'll like it.

I stumbled across her music when "You Picked Me" was available as free single of the week on iTunes, and fell in love with her music, and then promptly picked up the CD as soon as I saw it in a store. Well worth it.
