Oh my Merlin, I feel like one of the luckiest people on the planet right now. On Sunday, I went to see WICKED!!!! I went into Boston and got it on the last day the show was open. And it was absolutely, positively amazing. So much so...I can't get over how positively fantastic it was. And now I will post an entire review. So sit back and grab a cup of tea.
I first knew we'd arrived at the theater because down the street there was a large truck, I assume because they were packing up, that had the picture of the two witches like on the cover of the CD, and the poster, and that jazz, on the side of it. And then we finally got parking, and made it into the show about half an hour early.
We stopped at the "OzDust Boutique" and I got a sweatshirt, which is pretty nifty, and very warm. It was my only Christmas present from my grandparents because honestly? It was really expensive. But that's okay. I love it.
The show itself...I cannot even begin to describe it. I mean, I can answer questions specifically but I wouldn't be able to explain the entire thing - too exciting. Too much stuff! Let's just say the cast was brilliant. Galinda was so wonderful - the right voice, actions, demeanor. And Elphie - she was great. Like, not Idina Menzel, because nobody is Idina. But still. She could sing - and those are hard songs! I know it would be really hard if I tried to do it - and believe me, I have.
So yeah. AmazingAmazingAmazing. :)
